Artist

Kinga Chrząszczewska, known as KiniaKik, is a Polish artist with a rich cross-cultural experience, splitting her life between England and Poland. Her work, shaped by her background and extensive travels, explores the depths of human emotions through mixed media fine art. Graduating from the University of Westminster in 2006 with a BA Hons in Mixed Media Fine Art, KiniaKik’s art is characterized by vibrant symbolism, archetypal mythological references, and an exploration of complex human nature.

She delves into the nuanced interplay of instinct, subconscious, and spirituality, depicting emotions in their raw, unprocessed form. Her use of color, form, and texture evokes a visceral response from the viewer, creating a dynamic narrative that shifts between joy, sadness, fear, and fascination. The experience of her art can feel like stepping into a dreamlike reality where emotions run wild, akin to a primal dance of life.

KiniaKik’s art invites the observer into a world where rationality recedes, and the primal elements of existence take over. Through her visual storytelling, she seeks to awaken deep inner emotions, urging us to confront both the beauty and chaos of human experience.

Kinga has a strong background in art education, conducting workshops for both children and adults in Poland and Great Britain, and has also served as an art teacher at the British School in Warsaw. Through her teaching and workshops, she aims to inspire others to explore their own creative potential and perception of the world.

“My personal artistic language, expressed through my work, is rooted in my fascination with the mythology of ancient cultures and the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, which have accompanied me since my earliest years, seamlessly blending with Polish folklore. Another important context for my development was growing up behind the Iron Curtain, in a world dominated by shades of grey. In such an environment, my imagination became my escape, building an internal world full of vibrant colors and symbols that, over time, formed the foundation of my artistic expression.”
